Darren came to the Life Insurance industry in 2001, to work as an understudy to Michael Murphy. In that period, he assisted the then named Murphy Financial Solutions to obtain its Australian Financial Services Licence in 2003.

He completed his full Diploma in Financial Services in 2004, and has been mentored by Michael in all areas of the financial service offered by the practice.  Darren has attended local and national industry conferences, and in 2005 was a guest in New Orleans at the Million Dollar Round Table Conference.

Darren moved quickly from his administrative role into sales as an Adviser and is now an Authorised Representative of The Advice Exchange. His achievements have ensured a well-rounded perspective on the need to combine risk insurance, good budgeting and sound advice, in order to establish a firm base for wealth creation.

Darren is currently completing an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services and a certificate in Self Managed Super Funds, and has recently taken an equity position in the practice, and upon joining the Advice Exchange has changed the name to Murphy Financial Advice to further ensure the long-term outlook of the practice.
